On 25 March 2013, the Central Reserve Bank of Peru announced that the coin of the Peruvian Sol will have the Marca Perú logo one of its sides and put it into circulation.
The Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Jose Luis Silva Martinot, pointed out that the intention of the new coin is to make Peruvians familiar with the logo of Marca Perú.
