Peru day was celebrated in the Expo Yeosu in South Korea

Within the framework of the international exhibition "Expo Yeosu 2012" in South Korea, Peru celebrated her Independence from the Spanish empire. The ceremony, where Peruvian flags were raised, was attended by the General Director of Economic Promotion of the Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ambassador Jaime Pomareda. A group of Peruvian artists were present in the Expo thanks to the support of PROMPERÚ. They performed traditional dances from the various regions of Peru. The celebration of Peru Day started on 12 May in the Expo Yeosu, South Korea, under the theme "The Living Ocean and Coast".
