Golden champion: Natalia Cuglievan

One of our main representatives in sports and also ambassador of the Country Brand is talented skier Natalia Cuglievan, who won a gold medal in the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto, Canada.

Natalia got first place in female water skiing tricks category, defeating strong competitors from around the continent. This was the third gold medal Peru had won in this sporting event.

Recognitions after winning came swiftly. When Natalia returned home she was awarded the Silver Hummingbird, an accolade awarded by the Peruvian State for being the best athlete in 2015.

The champion was also granted the Olympic Torch. The award ceremony was a joint event between the Peruvian Olympic Committee and the Peruvian Sports Institute, at the Grand National Theatre in San Borja, Lima.

Natalia’s effort was also recognized by the Country Brand, which she is a current Ambassador representing sports excellence in the country along with other important figures who also do their best in representing Peru.
