In order to promote our coffee under the 'Cafés del Perú' brand, the Commercial Office of Peru in Beijing (OCEX Beijing) recently organized a presentation event for businessmen from the north of China at the Casa Perú store.
This event is part of a reverse trade mission for coffee to be held in August, through which a delegation of Chinese companies will arrive in the main coffee areas of central and southern Peru.
With this mission, and in addition to making contacts with coffee businessmen, we are looking for potential Chinese buyers so that they can learn about the different varieties of coffee grown in Peru.
During the presentation event at the Casa Perú store, the businessmen were able to answer questions about the mission and taste coffees from different Peruvian regions.
‘Cafés del Perú’
An industry brand launched by the Peruvian government worldwide in August 2018, with the purpose of positioning Peruvian coffee with its own brand as a product with distinct quality and recognized in all markets.
With 'Cafés del Perú', we seek to represent all types of coffees produced in Peru and that are characterized by their high quality.
The brand was designed considering the diversity of the region where it developed, and which ranges from 3,000 to 6,000 feet above sea level in the Andean mountain range. Specialty coffee and traceability were taken into account, aspects that, in addition to its intrinsic organoleptic qualities, make it a drink that is highly sought-after by the most demanding consumers.
It should be noted that the 'Cafés del Perú' brand was launched in Beijing in November last year, in a Specialty Coffee Trade Mission that was co-organized between the Beijing OCEX and Promperú.
About the Casa Perú Store
The first multi-brand store that our country opened in China in 2018. It is located in Sanlitun, one of the most important shopping and fashion centers in Beijing.
The initiative was the result of a partnership created between the public and private sectors; Mincetur, Promperú and fifteen Peruvian companies made it possible.
In addition to Peruvian superfoods and products such as our coffee and pisco, the Casa Perú store also offers clothing products and alpaca accessories, handicrafts and jewelry, among others.
