Commercial strategy
Peru is beginning a new stage in the strategy of promoting food exports, enhancing them with sector brands and cuisine, a strong presence in social networks and the intervention of influencers from different areas such as sport or lifestyle, known for being lovers of healthy food.
Alliances will also be established with global food brands and retail industry leaders in order to reach different market niches and the end consumer. So, the main beneficiaries will be small and medium-sized Peruvian companies, mainly those that supply exotic and functional products.
Agro-industrial sector exports to the European Union totaled $2.26 billion between January and November 2018, showing an increase of 15% compared to the same period in the previous year. Germany is among the top five destination markets, along with Spain, the Netherlands, Italy and the United Kingdom.
