Among the products in highest demand were fruit pulp, preserved artichokes, peppers and asparagus, quinoa in a variety of ready-to-eat and precooked forms, chocolates, olives and sacha inchi. The buyers who most visited the Peruvian stand came from the USA and Canada (60%), Asia (21%) and Europe (18%), participating in 900 business meetings.
The Summer Fancy Food Show took place in New York, USA, with the attendance of over 2,600 exhibitors from 57 countries and 16,000 professional visitors.
The Peruvian delegation was composed of 24 companies which presented over 100 innovative added-value products under the Super Foods Peru brand, which is expected to contribute to the distribution of products in the North American market, as well as segments that appreciate this line for its high quality and nutritious value. Peru’s participation received support from Peru’s Foreign Trade Office (OCEX) in New York.
Peruvian Products also had a space in important specialized media, such as the Specialty Food Magazine and the Official Daily Show, allowing Peruvian products to be brought closer to potential international importers.
