A delegation of coffee producers, associations and companies from our country will gather at Specialty Coffee 2019, the world's largest trade show dedicated to specialty coffees, to be held from April 11-14 in Boston.
Families, workers and coffee lovers from the United States will for the first time be able to enjoy the delicious flavor and mild aroma of the Peruvian drink, brought to their tables courtesy of the Cafés del Perú (Coffees from Peru) brand.
Peru will seek to stand out at the Specialty Coffee Expo 2019 among the 3,390 exhibitors from 50 countries who have come to do business with importers, wholesalers, retailers and specialists related to the industry. It is estimated that around 10,000 attendees will be looking for high quality drinks, like those we have to offer the world.
Thanks to this important scenario, and with the support of a industry brand that will spread the qualities of a Peruvian product that make it unique in the world, the presence of our coffees will be increased in various points of sale in the United States, as well as in other latitudes of the planet.
PERUVIAN PRIDE
The Specialty Coffee Expo gives the SCA Sustainability Award to individuals, projects and businesses supporting sustainable growth in the coffee industry with equity, mutual benefits and positive impact throughout the supply chain. This year, Esperanza Dionisio Castillo, from the C.A.C. Pangoa coffee cooperative and member of the Peruvian delegation, will be recognized as a “Sustainability Champion”.
This will also be an opportunity to present the Sensory Map of Peruvian Coffee, a commercial promotion tool that describes, measures, analyzes and interprets the characteristics of specialty coffees that are perceived by the senses. This tool has been developed by the public and private sectors and will contribute to its efficient promotion in international markets.
PROMPERÚ has also planned tasting and barista sessions during the event, with samples of coffees from the north, center and south of our country, and products from the first ten places in the 2018 Cup of Excellence world championship.
