PROMPERU and Dutch cooperation promote sustainable exports in Peruvian companies

Twelve Peruvian companies from the agro-industrial and clothing sectors that participated in the Corporate Social Responsibility Program, implemented with the support of the Orange Knowledge Programme | NUFFIC, between May and September of this year, were recognized by the Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Exports and Tourism (PROMPERÚ).
Agrícola Cerro Prieto, Agrícola Don Ricardo, Agroexportadora Tasta, AICASA, Algarrobos Orgánicos del Perú, Burana, Corceli, Espacio Concepto Moda, Las Tres Margaritas, Rasil, Rinconcito de las Tradiciones Peruanas and Textil Airin were the 12 participants in the program.
With this effort by PROMPERÚ and the Dutch cooperation, the aim is to promote the use of tools and practices for the implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the country’s export companies.
CSR IN EXPORTERS
During this time, PROMPERU and NUFFIC led training in the use of tools and techniques to implement corporate social responsibility; the importance of export trends in the context of CSR; and the development of CSR action plans and codes of conduct.
Participants were in addition taught how to develop their own strategic communication plan in CSR actions, all in order to contribute to the performance and professional growth of companies and the sustainability of their exports.
It is important to note that the Orange Knowledge Programme | NUFFIC is a non-profit organization in the Netherlands that aims to contribute to sustainable and inclusive development, through access to education and the training of individuals and organizations internationally.
