Peru Moda Deco 2023: start the celebration of its 25th anniversary.

The kickoff for the 25th anniversary celebration of Peru Moda Deco took place at the Lima Convention Center (LCC), where more than 200 prominent figures from the fashion industry of Peru and around the world gathered.

Representants from the Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Exports and Tourism (PROMPERU) and the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism, along with Peruvian and international entrepreneurs, participated in the business matchmaking and trade exhibition aimed at boosting the textile industry's development.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was carried out by the Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Juan Carlos Mathews, and the Executive President of PROMPERU, Angela Matsuda, who welcomed the guests. 

'We are facing a year of significant challenges. In the context of global economic inflation, it is important to make efforts, as is happening in the clothing and decoration sector, which generates 400,000 direct jobs,' the Minister expressed.

In various exhibition areas, you can find more than 200 Peruvian brands offering their products and hoping to close deals worth over 80 million dollars with over 200 buyers from America, Europe, and Asia.

Peru Moda Deco 2023 also features a diverse range of national offerings in cotton, alpaca, baby and children's items, footwear and accessories, decoration and gifts, as well as local brands from different regions of the country. 

Moreover, attendees had the opportunity to take part in the International Forum on Design, Sustainability, and the Future of Fashion, which brings together international speakers to discuss innovation in the clothing and decoration industry.

This forum began with speaker Jessica Kelly from THR3EFOLD, who talked about the humanization of sustainability. 

It will continue on October 20th with various speakers, including Federica Diana, a representative of the international brand Versace, who will share valuable insights about brand development and positioning in the exclusive global fashion market.

Over the two days of the Peru Moda Deco 2023, there will be sector information sessions for buyers, a trade exhibition, a business roundtable, the Young Creators of the World & Alpaca Awards competition, as well as fashion activations, awards for exporters, and the international forum with representatives from renowned brands and prestigious fashion institutes.
