Last year, something that had previously seemed like a dream —in the style of Holly gazing at the jewelry case in the movie 'Breakfast at Tiffany's'— came true. The project to place the 'Alpaca del Perú' brand and its luxury products in the most famous window display on New York's Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman, became a reality.
Representatives of the American company visited the most recent edition of the Peru Moda trade show to check out the work of the designers, as well as the quality and potential of the garments made in Peru. As a result, Meche Correa, Alessandra Petersen, Anntarah, Ayni and Escudo were the brands selected to be part of this exhibition-sale. These beautiful collections made from alpaca fiber were worked on jointly with the experts at Bergdorf Goodman.
'Passport to Peru', a pop-up store with a Peruvian theme located inside the most exclusive department store in the Big Apple, was made possible thanks to the joint effort of PROMPERÚ and Peru's Trade Office in New York.
With this achievement, we can say with confidence that we are ready to compete with the big luxury firms and that we can reach the most demanding consumers
