Peru stands out at important Colombian fair! The country of the Incas made a successful showing at the 2017 International Business and Franchise Fair (FANYF), held in Colombia, where its export services piqued the interest of important financiers.
The Peruvian businesses that took part in the event sought an investment of 100,000-250,000 USD with a payback period of 19-24 months. This was a novel offer for investors. These businesses follow a high quality and low cost policy to secure a short-term investment in services with strong potential such as gastronomy, photography, beauty and floristry.
The companies that represented the Peruvian market in gastronomy were as follows: El Escondite, an expert in fishing and seafood; Disfruta, a wonderful juice bar; Embarcadero 41, a restaurant specializing in a variety of dishes; Las Canastas, an establishment offering grilled chicken and other meats; and Nitos, a traditional ceviche chain. The event was also attended by Rosatel, a flower and gift shop and delivery service; Photolife Studios, a company specialized in fine art photography for families; Aguaclara, a clothing and swimwear company; and Montalvo, a hair salon and spa chain.
Rosatel was one of the Peruvian companies that validated their business model in Colombia. “The goal is to enter other major cities in the country, since we have high-level contacts with Colombian flower suppliers,” said Matías Valdivia, a representative of Rosatel in Colombia. The company’s annual turnover in Peru is close to 18.5 million USD.
Peru is waiting for five of its nine franchises to be able to establish themselves in Colombia.
