Peru has just taken part as Guest of Honor in the FEINMESSE show, which was held in the city of Basel and dedicated to the exhibition and sale of gourmet foods. The event took place on the banks of the Rhine from November 1 to 4.
The 17 000 attendees interacted with fashion, jewelry and tourism exhibitors over the four days of the show. They also had the chance to try our Superfoods, wines and various gastronomic products.
Consistent with the high quality standards of the fair, these exhibitions visibly showed the diversity of items from Peruvian companies who have a presence on the European continent.
Peruvian cuisine couldn’t be missed as an important part of this participation, showcased by Andrés Cerdeña, from Rocoto & Sour, and Emilio Espinosa, from the Pikante restaurant in Lucerne, who was in charge of presenting Peruvian dishes and drinks in situ.
The presence of the famous Peruvian ensemble Alturas, the pianist César Correa, and José Campos and Evie Ross from Tusuy Tanztheater Co., also gave the Peruvian pavilion a special touch with high-quality music and dance performed with the passion for which Peruvians stand out.
The pavilion was organized by Peru-Vision, a platform that informs the European public about Peru, its businesses and its products. This initiative is made possible thanks to the support of the Peruvian Embassy in Switzerland, in order to promote the emerging community of Peruvian and European companies that present Peruvian products.
