Peru was chosen as the World's Leading Culinary Destination for the fifth consecutive year at the World Travel Awards (WTA) 2016. This award places Peru as a top-class gastronomic destination.

It should be noted that Peru has imposed itself on renowned cuisines in the world such as France, Japan, Italy, Mexico, Spain and Thailand, among others.
