Great Celebration of Inti Raymi 2014

Inti Raymi or "Festival of the Sun" is one of the most genuine and important happening of the Peruvian culture and takes place every 24th of June.

This date was key to the ancient inhabitants of Tawantinsuyo, because it ended the harvest season and marked the beginning of the winter equinox of the Andes; hence, a new agricultural cycle.

This event is always appreciated by an average of 40 thousand spectators with 5 thousand of them on chairs in the fortress of Sacsayhuaman.
