The Julio C. Tello Museum, located in Paracas, south of the Peruvian capital, was given a prize by the Leading Culture Destinations Awards, in the fifth edition held at the South Kensington Club, in the city of London.
The institution received the award of "Best New Museum in Latin America", a category it was nominated for along with the Underwater Museum of Archaeology of Campeche (Mexico). It is worth mentioning that it was also selected for the "Best Architecture" category, along with the YSL Museum (Morocco) and the Zeitz MOCAA (South Africa).
