Argentina celebrated the Bicentennial of their Independence, and among their guests was the Peruvian Military Band. This is a band that plays and charms the audience at the same time. Musicians from the Peruvian Army, Navy and Air Force played a selection of military marches, surprising guests, but that was not all. The dance partners stole the show, members of our military surprised the audience with two traditional Peruvian dances, Marinera and Huaino.The Military Band delighted the audience for more than 15 minutes at the Buenos Aires Polo Course. Presidents from all over the world as Bolivia, Chile, Spain, United States, France, Italy, Morocco, Paraguay and Uruguay were in attendance. Peruvian Air Force orchestra conductor, Carlos Matto, revealed that out of all musical pieces he chose the song ‘Valicha’, originally from Cuzco, because Macchu Picchu is the main attraction of the region and Peru and is internationally recognized as one of the New Seven World Wonders.
