On 14 April 2013, Peru made Guinness World Record history. That day 1,476 Peruvian cajon players filled the main square of Lima with their music, beating a Guinness World Record of most people playing the instrument simultaneously.
The World Record Guinness handed out the certificate accrediting that we met all the requirements for setting a new Guinness World Record. Rafael Santa Cruz was the musical director of this festival and he demonstrated that when united, Peruvians are capable of great deeds.
