Harumi Momota present a collection at the San Diego Fashion Week

The Peruvian designer Harumi Momota will soon present, for the first time, her collection made of fine natural alpaca fibers and Pyma and Tangüis cotton from Peru at Fashion Week San Diego (FWSD), one of the fashion industry’s biggest events, which takes place in California, United States.

The FWSD or San Diego Fashion Week is a traditional week that focuses on the work of emerging designers from San Diego and around the world. Its goal is to showcase talent and provide an opportunity for brands to capitalize on and strike business deals from the exhibition.

There will be 15 brands on display at the FWSD catwalks on October 13. Among them is HMO from Harumi Momota, who will dazzle us with a collection that has been designed using unique weaving and textile techniques, such as crochet, hand embroidery and hand-made looms.

As you know, the Peruvian designer's approach involves supporting artisans from various regions of Peru. She thereby contributes to boost the production of clothing and accessories, creating unique styles that combine current haute couture trends with the age-old Peruvian textile art.

Momota's success has already led her to participate in major international fashion fairs and events, including Pret a Porter Paris, Ethical Fashion Show, Couture Fashion Week (New York), Dominican Republic Fashion Week and Japan Fashion Show.
