With the aim of promoting and positioning Peru as one of the top destinations, PROMPERÚ, through the Peru Brand, carried out the Film in Peru Campaign at the 65th Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity 2018, which took place from June 18 to 22 at the Cannes Festival and Congress Palace in France.
“Perú Hacking Francia” was among the variety of activities taking place. It took place on June 21 before the football match, having a great impact on those attending the festival.
More than 150 professionals attended the event, including international visual arts directors, producers, publicists and copywriters, all in charge of creating and making decisions for commercials, videos, films and audiovisual pieces in general. At this meeting organized by Peru, expert publicists were able to view promotional videos of Peruvian destinations, as well as success stories of commercials and audiovisual pieces produced in the country. As part of “Perú hacking Francia” there was also a billboard at the festival and Peru Brand water bottles were given away.
In partnership with the Peruvian Association of Advertising Agencies (APAP) and the Peruvian Association of Advertising Producers (APCPP), the promotional video ‘Meet the Unexpected’ was produced, which under the slogan ‘All the world in one place’ showed the infinite destination possibilities and talent that Peru has to offer through a summary of films, music videos and different advertising pieces produced by Peruvian creativity. The video mentioned has been showcased on the website of specialized magazine Shoots, and is now available at www.filminperu.pe, a site created to help promote Peruvian audiovisual production.
