PERU makes its debut at MIPCOM 2017

Peru, with its growing production in the entertainment, television and film industry, participated for the first time in the MIPCOM 2017 fair at Palais des Festivals, Cannes, France on October 16-19. The event coincides with Peru’s steps to establish its film commission.
MIPCOM (Marché International des Programmes de Communication) is the most important trade show in the world for the entertainment content industry, and The Peru Country Brand was on the scene to present the country as a viable alternative for audiovisual productions in general, possessing extraordinary locations ranging from coasts and arid deserts to the Andes mountains and the Amazon jungle. This variety makes the South American country a location with endless possibilities.
The Peruvian companies present at the event offer film and TV productions, as well as animation and virtual-reality services. They also have studios with state-of-the-art technology, which makes co-productions possible.

The following Peruvian companies, involved in creating and selling audiovisual and digital content, attended MIPCOM: Tondero Distribución, América Televisión, Transversal Films, Frecuencia Latina Internacional (FLI), Red Animation, 111 Producciones, Rayo en la Botella, Makaco, Alligator and Quechua Films.
Through these companies, Peru will present a series of business packages for any type of film, television, animation or virtual-reality production– from scriptwriting to distribution–as it has the products and services the industry needs to create world-class audiovisual and digital content.
