Peruvian movies compete in the Guadalajara Film Festival

PromPerú announced that Peru is participating in the Guadalajara International Film Festival in Mexico, from March 9^th to 16^th. Peruvian delegation has a stand at the Industry pavilion, in order to show and promote outstanding geographic locations, furthermore, different Peruvian film studios participate to seek attention from international production companies to develop several film projects.

The Peruvian delegation is comprised by PROMPERÚ through the Perú Country Brand and the Ministry of Culture. They have the mission to get more and better visibility in the Latin-American and Iberoamerican film market. On the other hand, the private sector group is represented by Señor Z, Factoria Sur, Cinecorp, El Directorio; they are are going show their best work and Peruvian talent as well.

During the Guadalajara Film Festival, Peruvian films like ‘Wiñaypacha’, directed by Oscar Catacora, and ‘Desechos’, directed by Julio Ramos will compete for best Iberoamerican fiction movie and best short-film.

As part of the activities of the Industry section, the film ‘El Abuelo’, directed by Gustavo Saavedra, was projected during the Market Streaming on March 11^th at the José Arriola Library auditorium.

Peru also features magnificent sceneries, state-of-the-art studios, and high quality post production houses that include virtual reality and visual effects. In addition, it features wonderful locations throughout its territory. From its beaches, deserts, Andean mountains and Amazonian rainforest. Peru is a country of infinite possibilities.
