Motor racing fans in Peru celebrate that Peruvian driver Nicolas Fuchs was ranked 12th in the world's most important rally, the Dakar 2017, achieving the best record of a Peruvian pilot in this competition and the best debut of a Latin American duo.
In this 2017, the Dakar Rally had a total of twelve stages. Nicolas Fuchs and his Argentinean co-driver Fernando Mussano toured 64 km, after passing through Paraguay, Bolivia and Argentina.
On board of an HRX unit and with a private team, the representatives of Peru competed for the first time in the rally, against the official teams of Peugeot, Mini and Toyota, putting Peru in the 12th place of the competition and becoming one of the best crews of the world.
