Our country took part in the last edition of the International Congress on Knowledge and Innovation (Congreso Internacional de Conocimiento e Innovación – CiKi) 2018 through the participation of Peruvians Jerry Lynch and Ada Chambergo, both representatives of the communications agency Watson (Peru).
The CiKi, which aims to promote conceptual, methodological and practical development in Knowledge Management, Intellectual Capital and Innovation Management, was held on September 24 and 25 in the city of Guadalajara, State of Jalisco, Mexico, one of the main technological and innovation hubs in Latin America.
The theme of this seventh edition was: "Environments of Innovation and Knowledge Economy: An Investment in the Future". The Congress welcomed more than 300 participants including academics, researchers and members connected to the region's innovation ecosystem.
Jerry Lynch, CEO of the agency Watson, participated as a guest panelist on the subject of "Digital Transformation and Knowledge Economy", along with specialists from other countries. For Lynch, "connecting human skills with technological skills is the big challenge we currently face, since without this we fail to understand that innovation and technology go hand in hand with people and for people."
Ada Chambergo, Watson's director, participated in the Networking and Co-production session "FabLabs and Makerspaces: key components for the development of innovation", through an innovative proposal in the management and methodology for this type of meeting space, together with experts from Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica and Brazil.
"Human relationships, in new physical and dynamic spaces, strengthen confidence in our skills and abilities. In addition, innovation processes are made for, by and with the community. Getting to know each other, collaborating and showing solidarity is a challenge," Chambergo says.
