For the next ten years, Fundo Rosita, 244.92 hectares long, will be one of more than 90 private conservation areas existing in Peru since 2009. Private Conservation Areas (PCA) are properties recognized by the Ministry of Environment, containing representative samples from surrounding natural ecosystem, and voluntarily preserved by their owners. Fundo Rosita, located in San Juan Bautista district, province of Maynas, department of Loreto, is now one of them. A primary forests area never touched by men. PCA included the property to preserve the representative biodiversity within its limits. Will have to comply with the Protected Natural Areas Law 26834, and the commitments assumed with SENARP (National Service of National Areas Protected by the State) and other subject related norms.
