In order to promote the diversification of our tourist industry by improving knowledge about Peru as a destination in commercial channels, the Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Exports and Tourism (PROMPERÚ) is preparing the 26th edition of Peru Travel Mart 2019.
This event, which has been held annually since 1987 with the purpose of encouraging the marketing of Peruvian tourism products in international markets, will bring together tour operators and wholesalers from the different markets that send tourists to Peru.
There are 117 registered to date, coming from countries such as France, Germany, Holland, Switzerland, Canada, the USA, Argentina, Brazil, China and Panama.
As part of the program, Peru Travel Mart will hold business rounds with meetings lasting 20 minutes each, aimed at facilitating the marketing of products and services from Peru. There will also be a 24 Speed Networking, five-minute meetings that seek to strengthen negotiation and increase the number of contacts between buyers and exhibitors.
There are in addition 125 national companies registered, such as tour operators, hotels, airlines, cruise ships, restaurants and land and rail transport companies, which will offer information on the variety of tourist products in our country.
During the days of the event, there will also be training seminars and promotion of tourism products in Peru, which highlight themes related to culture, community tourism ventures, adventure and nature.
The Peru Travel Mart is jointly organized by the National Chamber of Tourism (Canatur) and the Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Exports and Tourism (PROMPERÚ), with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism and the Commercial Offices of Peru Abroad (OCEX).
