Peru was chosen as the setting for the coming episodes of the reality TV series, The Bachelor, on ABC. The last two episodes will present this country as an impressive setting for the season finale, starring the bachelor Arie Luyendyk Jr., who will have to decide which women to ask to spend the rest of her life with him.
The next episodes of The Bachelor, currently in its 22nd season, are scheduled for airing on February 26 and March 5 – the grand season finale – at 8/7c, on ABC.
Arie Luyendyk Jr. has an impressive story in the series. Six years ago he was in love and about to propose to the woman of his dreams, something that never happened. In light of this, Arie distanced himself from the Bachelor Nation spotlight, he retired from his career as an accomplished Formula 1 driver and changed course to become a successful real estate broker in Scottsdale, Arizona.
PROMPERÚ supported the production of the series, recommending dream locations for the greatly anticipated season finale. That’s the romantic landscapes of Ica, Cuzco and the magnificent Machu Pichu became the perfect settings to show the world what Peru has to offer.
It's worth noting that the US market is one of the most important for Peruvian Tourism. Until October 2017, the number of tourists from the United States was 494,931. In 2016 saw an increase of 8% compared to the previous period and a 16% share of the total arrivals received by Peru. In addition, the main activities of American tourists during their trips to this South American country are focused on culture, adventure and nature.
