Thanks to the enormous support we received in online voting, our country was the winner among the 192 nations participating in the largest fair worldwide, which takes place in the United Arab Emirates.
The prizes keep on coming! The Peru Pavilion, in which we participated at Expo 2020 Dubai, has just received an important recognition: the World Expo Awards in the People's Choice Awards category. The Peruvian space at the fair, considered the largest on the planet, was chosen as the best of the event, in the first place among the 192 countries present.
The Peru Pavilion, which has received more than 1.4 million visitors since its inauguration on October 1, 2021, was created under the concept of "Timeless Peru", offering visitors a sensory experience and a synthesis of our historical, multicultural and mega-diverse legacy.
"This valuable award fills us with pride and encourages us to continue showing the best of our country at Expo 2020 Dubai, so that the world can continue to discover Peru's cultural treasures, its rich multicultural identity and its fantastic biodiversity," said the Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Roberto Sánchez.
The decision fills the country with pride because it has been achieved thanks to the hard work of six months, which has managed to capture the attention and affection of the international public, which has shown its predilection for our beautiful Peru Pavilion.

THE WORLD CHOSE US AS THEIR FAVORITE!
The specialized magazine Exhibitor, which granted the award to our country, made a virtual call for the public from all over the globe to vote for the best experience lived at the fair. The Peru Pavilion was chosen thanks to the beautiful and creative way in which it showed to visitors the best of the culture, gastronomy and destinations of our country.
"The Peruvian pavilion strategically located in the "Mobility" area of the Expo, a space of great flow that has allowed to greatly exceed the goal set in relation to the number of visitors. At the end of the event, it is expected to reach 1.5 million visits," said Amora Carbajal, executive president of the Peruvian Commission for the Promotion of Export and Tourism (PROMPERÚ).
The head of the promoter entity added that the Peruvian pavilion was an important point of commercial contact for our tourism and exporting SMEs from all regions of Peru, which had the opportunity to promote unique tourist destinations and a great exportable offer, and thus boost their internationalization process.
