Peru: Expomina 2018 business roundtable exceeds expectations

Surpassing the initial projections by US$ 2 million, the Expomina Perú 2018 business roundtable concluded with commercial opportunities worth almost US$ 17 million, the Peruvian Promotion Commission for Exports and Tourism - PROMPERÚ reported.
US$ 5 million of this amount was finalized during the event and US$ 12 million will materialize in the next twelve months. A total of 270 business meetings were held in which 37 Peruvian companies and 20 buyers from Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Mexico participated.
The Mexican delegation was that which concluded most business with 31% of the total amount projected, followed by Chile with 27%.
Among the products that aroused most interest were mining supplies, drilling equipment, spare parts, castings for crushers, ball mills, mining fans, submersible pumps, cables, specialized machinery, castings and equipment for exploration processes.
Some innovative products also stood out, such as underground shelters, which can house people for up to 90 hours, as well as innovative specialized computer systems for mining.
This is the fourth edition of the business roundtable, held on September 12 as part of Expomina Perú 2018, the international mining exhibition specializing in products and services for the mining industry that is held every two years.
