A total of 190 national and international business people participated in the Peru Service Summit 2019 business event, the country's most important commercial platform for service exports.
"This is one of the main platforms for the services trade in Latin America and seeks to position Peru as a specialized services developer. We are confident that Peru Service Summit will exceed the projected value of business this year, showing that the quality of our products is increasingly attractive to the world", said the Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Edgar Vásquez.
The executive president of PROMPERÚ, Luis Torres, recognized the importance of the service sector for exports, regarded as one of the main activities generating employment for the country. He also highlighted the great talent of the professionals in this sector and their growing presence in international markets.
Ninety Peruvian companies participated in the event, showing the best of their exports to the world, and one hundred buyers also attended.
It is worth mentioning that the business people who came to the Peru Service Summit also participate in activities planned for the International Week of Service Exports (from September 2 to 6). It is therefore expected to exceed the US$ 151 million generated at last year's business event, and the 1,000 on-site and virtual attendees.
PERÚ SERVICE SUMMIT
Lines of business at this important service export event include software, BPO collection, digital animation, digital marketing, engineering and mining services. A virtual business conference will be held for the first time this year so that Peruvian business people can meet investors from America and Europe.
As is the case every year, the event will present the Peru Exports Services award, which seeks to recognize and honor export firms and partnership schemes formed in the service sector in order to enter the international market.
The 9th Annual Convention of the Latin American Association of Service Exporters will also be held, where attendees will have the opportunity to learn about policies and trends in business and investment in the services trade.
