Expo Peru Norte 2024, held this year in Piura, was a remarkable event featuring over 90 companies from the export and tourism sectors across the Commonwealth of Northern Peru.
At the Export Business Roundtable, 66 agribusiness, fishing, and aquaculture companies presented their products to 30 international buyers from 15 countries across Asia, Europe, North America, and Latin America. This event helped create new business opportunities for Peruvian companies.
The Tourism Business Roundtable was held with 24 companies from northern regions like Tumbes, Piura, Lambayeque, La Libertad, San Martín, Cajamarca, Amazonas, and Loreto, showcasing their services and travel packages to national buyers. The event aimed to promote northern Peru as a top tourist destination by highlighting its natural beauty and rich cultural heritage.

As part of the itinerary, 20 tourism entrepreneurs from Lima, Cusco, and Arequipa went on a familiarization trip to Piura and Tumbes. During this adventure, they explored hotel facilities, took part in tourist activities, and savored the local cuisine. They also visited iconic spots like the Manglares de Tumbes National Sanctuary and the Mancora Beach Resort.
Northern export potential
As part of Expo Peru Norte 2024, meetings were held with local authorities and associations from the aquaculture and tourism sectors. The delegation also visited Seafrost, a fishery products exporter in Paita. These activities highlighted the region's strong export capabilities and the high quality of its products.
Expo Peru North 2024 not only strengthened the international profile of the region's products and services but also underscored the importance of public and private sector collaboration in promoting economic growth and tourism in northern Peru.
