Ninety companies from the region will showcase their products for export to thirty international buyers.
Piura will host Expo Peru Norte 2024 for the second year in a row, aiming to promote exports, boost tourism, and revitalize its economy. The event will take place from May 22 to 24.
This event will highlight three key areas: academic discussions (Seminars), trade (Export Business Roundtable), and, for the first time, a Tourism Business Roundtable aiming to surpass the target of 41 million domestic tourism travelers.

The 90 companies from the Commonwealth of Northern Peru, spanning regions like Tumbes, Piura, Lambayeque, Cajamarca, and Ancash, will present their agribusiness, fishing, and aquaculture products to 30 international buyers hailing from countries such as South Korea, Japan, Argentina, Taiwan, Portugal, Spain, Chile, Canada, Brazil, Germany, the Netherlands, Mexico, Greece, and the United Arab Emirates.

During the Tourism Business Roundtable, 24 companies from Tumbes, Piura, Lambayeque, La Libertad, San Martin, Cajamarca, Amazonas, and Loreto will display their tourism services and travel packages targeted at businesses. The event will feature a familiarization trip encompassing visits to various hotel facilities, beach activities, gastronomic experiences, exploration of the Manglares de Tumbes National Sanctuary, Zorritos Beach, Los Organos, and a tour of Puerto del Ñuro.

In 2023, Piura's exports hit over USD 3.689 billion, marking a 5.3% increase from the year before. At the last Expo Peru Norte, 37 international buyers joined in, alongside 86 exporters from agribusiness, fishing, and aquaculture. Together, they negotiated deals worth more than USD 34 million.
