Peru's tourism shines brightly at a well-known event in Chile

Over 360 business meetings were arranged during the business conference in Santiago de Chile.

A huge success! Peru brought its tourism offer "Perú: experiencias inolvidables" (Peru: unforgettable experiences) to the Chile 2024 Workshop held on April 23 at The Ritz-Carlton hotel in the neighboring country's capital. Peru stole the spotlight, engaging in 368 business meetings with 60 Chilean companies.

This business conference highlighted the fun side of tourism in various Peruvian spots like Arequipa, Cusco, Ica, Lima, Loreto, Piura, and Tumbes. It also stressed the importance of tourism for business gatherings, incentives, conventions, and events, which could boost Peru's economy. These aspects are especially being emphasized in cities like Lima, Cusco, Ica, Arequipa, and Loreto, showing their potential for development.

To truly experience Peru's vibe, on April 24, right after the business conference, the Chilean businessmen attending the event wrapped things up with a show featuring Caballos de Paso and Marinera norteña. Plus, they got to taste some delicious Peruvian lunch. Peru all the way!

It is important to note that Chile is a crucial market for Peru's economy. In 2023, Chile once again topped the list as the leading source of tourists, representing 24 % of all international tourism. This year, we are expecting around 1,300,000 travelers from Chile to arrive.
