Dina Magna Paucar Valverde was born in Tingo Maria (Huanuco) on July 14, 1969. She left her home and went to Lima when she was 10 years old. After having different jobs she managed to release her first record called "Mi Tesoro" after her first son in 1992. With this record she started being called "The voice of love" for the immense sentimentalism transmitted through her music. Little by little, Dina became one of the main female artists of folklore music, selling over 150 records, even more than famous artists Gian Marco and Pedro Suarez Vertiz, and performing at sold-out shows. Her more popular songs are "Madre" and "Lindos ojitos". In 2008 she was named UNICEF Good Will Ambassador.
