This Spanish Peruvian musician has dedicated a large part of his artistic life to the diffusion of the black rhythms of Peru with the famous Ballumbrosio family. Throughout his musical career he has recovered the use of the Peruvian cajón, contributing to its positioning in the international musical scene. Passionate about the African influence on national art and culture, he has studied Afro-Peruvian and Andean music since the 70s, when love of folk art was an act of patriotism. Over the years, the music of our beloved Miki Gonzales has become more electronic, but without forgetting Andean rhythms. This transformation has given rise to really interesting albums like Café Inkaterra (2004), Etnotronics: Apu Sesions (2005), Iskay: Inka Beats (2006), Hi Fi Stereo (2007) and Landó por Bulerías (2009).
