Santiago Roncagliolo has published from stories for children to novels about real life. Among his most outstanding works are "Red April" and "Pudor", both brought to the big screen by Spanish directors David and Tristan Ulloa. In 2010 he was listed by the British magazine Granta as one of the 22 best writers in Spanish language under 35 years old. Alongside his activity as a writer, Santiago has written scripts for soap operas and has collaborated with the prestigious Spanish newspaper "El Pais" and some others. He has also worked as an investigative journalist and a translator of books from authors such as Jean Genet and Andre Gide.
