Claudia Llosa

Claudia Llosa productions have amazed the audience worldwide. Among the most successful ones are "Madeinusa" and "The Milk of Sorrow". The script of her first production, "Madeinusa", won an award at the 2003 Festival of La Havana in Cuba which helped on financing the filming. After releasing the film, she won the CONACINE Award in Lima and then she was called to become one of the official Peruvian representatives at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival. Her film "The Milk of Sorrow" was very successful. It won the Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival and the Goya Award for Best Latin American Film. This film made history by being the first Peruvian production nominated to an Academy Award in 2010. Later, Claudia directed "Aloft" a film starring Jennifer Connelly and Cillian Murphy.
