Few people know Peru as well as the journalist and host of the program Tiempo de Viaje. It was during this exciting time in his life that he discovered that "traveling through Peru can help reduce racism and prejudice, because by living somewhere else a person breathes in fresh air and begins to mend fences with other areas. Rafo got much more than good pictures from each trip for the program, he connected with an audience--big enough for a cable show--with a desire to discover the Peruvian heartland and encouraged new generations to reconnect with their country. In times when WiFi is not just a type of signal, but a way of life, and activities are increasingly wireless, León reminded us that travelling around our country is sometimes a ground wire.
