Carlos Alcantara

Whether as an actor or comedian, Carlos Alcántara Vilar has earned the admiration and affection of Peruvians through his endearing and charismatic characters. After entering the Club of Theater of Lima, Carlos Alcantara starred with Wendy Ramos "Pataclaun", a TV show that mixed clown performance with local parody. Pataclaun had great rating and the character of Carlos, "Machin", became one of the audience s favourite characters, making them laugh with his jokes. After that he starred in TV miniseries "Lobos de Mar" in 2005, and later in "La Gran Sangre" where he was an avenging character from the streets known as "Dragon". Later, Alcantara did a stand-up show called "Asu Mare" as many of the jokes were about his relationship with his mother. The show was brought to the big screen in 2013, breaking records and beating Hollywood films at the box office.
