Outstanding Italian sociologist, writer and gourmet, founder of the Slow Food movement, an international movement born at the end of the eighties in Italy that is in contrast to the fast food concept, seeking a new philosophy that combines pleasure and knowledge through the display and promotion of regional traditions and good food.

A researcher who shows great interest in working with Peru on the diffusion of gastronomy. Slow Food currently has a cooperation agreement with the Peruvian Gastronomy Society (APEGA). This resulted in the publication of the book 'The Ark of Taste in Peru', which reassesses our country's emblematic products.
