Marca Perú (Peru Brand) will shine around the world thanks to the fact that the mainsail of the BAP Unión Sail Training Vessel will carry its logo on an international mission planned for 2020 and 2021.
This information was revealed a few hours after the iconic ship of our Navy carried the torch of the Lima 2019 Pan American Games along our coastline, in an act enabling the public to also appreciate Marca Perú sailing the seas from Callao to Chorrillos.
"Thanks to the international mission of the Unión Sail Training Vessel, we will be able to showcase the diversity of our country and its main export products to the world, as well as our cultural, adventure, nature and gastronomic destinations that every tourist should know about," said the Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Edgar Vásquez Vela.
"Thanks to the coordinated work between PROMPERÚ and the Peruvian Navy, the Unión Sail Training Vessel will act as a traveling embassy, showing the best our country has to offer during its tour around the world," added Luis Torres, executive president of PROMPERÚ.
In so doing, our main tourist attractions and our star export products, promoted through the industry brands Super Foods Perú, Cafés del Perú, Alpaca del Perú and Pisco, Spirit of Peru, will be spread internationally.
It should be noted that Marca Perú is a PROMPERÚ strategy that seeks to attract tourism, increase our exports and encourage foreign investment in our country. For this reason, it employs various promotional activities in Peru and abroad.

The Unión Sail Training Vessel is planning an international tour, in which it will pass through countries that are strategic for Peru, such as Italy, Spain, the United States, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, France, Japan, China, South Korea and India.
