Peru stands out as a key player in international trade, due to the quality of its products, services and its extensive global network of Overseas Trade Offices of Peru (OCEX). These offices play a fundamental role in promoting exports, tourism, business investment, and enhancing the country’s image in international markets.

Peru operates thirty (30) Overseas Trade Offices (OCEX) across twenty-six (26) economies worldwide, in addition to managing another twenty-three (23) markets under the concept of action areas. Of these, eleven (11) Trade Offices are located in APEC member countries, underscoring the importance of the Asia-Pacific region for Peruvian foreign trade.

The primary mission of OCEX is to:

• Support Peruvian companies in their internationalization process by facilitating access to new markets and promoting value-added products and services.
• Facilitate the establishment of business contacts, strategic alliances, and participation in international events.
• Promote Peru as a top-tier tourist destination, highlighting its cultural, natural, and gastronomic richness.
• Identify and attract foreign direct investments that contribute to the country’s sustainable economic development.
• Position Peru as a competitive and attractive country in the international arena by showcasing its strengths and opportunities.
