PachaPapi is the name of the Peruvian restaurant recently awarded the prize of the 'Best New Restaurant of the Year' in the “2018 Beijing Food and Drink Awards”, organized by the popular That's Beijing magazine in China. The restaurant received the award after just one month in operation, reported Peru´s Foreign Trade Office in Beijing (OCEX Beijing).

Juan Francisco, María Esther and Juan Carlos Chía are the three Peruvian siblings, entrepreneurs and Chinese descendants, who started the restaurant in the Chinese capital, and for which they turned to the experience of a Peruvian chef. This is their second gastronomic project, the first called Pachakutiq was also dedicated to promoting the image of Peru through gastronomy.

PachaPapi's menu is varied and includes traditional Peruvian dishes such as Cebiche, Lomo Saltado and Causa. As well as those dishes that emerged from Peruvian-Chinese cuisine such as Arroz Chaufa (fried rice dish), Tallarín Saltado (stir-fried noodles) and Wantán (Wonton soup); and dishes from Nikkei cuisine, among others. The restaurant offers a total of 54 dishes.

The drinks list features Pisco, offering cocktails such as Pisco Sour, Algarrobina and Chilcano. The menu also includes Peruvian coffee, ready to compete with Chinese coffees. And they will soon offer maca and quinoa beers.
