Peruvian products shine at New York City's Summer Fancy Food Show

The goal of this major event is to promote exports of Peruvian agro-industrial products.
On top! Peru participated in the 68th Summer Fancy Food Show, the premier event for fine, gourmet, and specialty foods in the U.S. This event took place from June 23 to 25 in New York.

A total of 16 companies made up the Peruvian delegation, presenting a unique variety of offerings. Highlights included smoked canned fish, Cebiche-flavored chifles, rocoto and aji amarillo sauces, northern dry seasonings, Pachamanca, and, of course, Arroz con pollo.
Over the three days, around USD 25 million in business expectations for the next 12 months were generated, along with 500 commercial contacts from product exhibitions.

The United States is the largest market for exporting processed agro-industrial products. It is the primary destination for Peruvian suppliers of specialty foods and gourmet items.
Originating in the post-war era of the late 1950s, Summer Fancy Food is organized by the Specialty Food Association. It brings together a wide range of food industry professionals, including wholesalers, producers, distributors, supermarkets, convenience stores, and foodservice providers, among others.
