Recognizing excellence in tourism innovation
Among the winners were the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) and the Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Export and Tourism (PROMPERÚ), recognized for their efforts to modernize and strengthen Peruvian tourism. Mincetur played a key role in providing technical assistance to several winning organizations in eight of the nine award categories, supporting projects that enhance efficiency, sustainability, and competitiveness in the sector.
One of the most notable awards went to the project "Provisions for the Governance and Management of Tourism Destinations," which won in the "Tourism Governance" category. This initiative aims to enhance coordination between the public and private sectors by establishing a regulatory framework that promotes sustainable and competitive tourism development in Peru.
PROMPERÚ was honored for its "Commercial Program for Tourism Companies," an initiative designed to train entrepreneurs and industry professionals, enhancing their commercial skills and boosting the competitiveness of tourism services in both domestic and international markets.
