Peruvian tourist destinations stand out at major events like ITB China 2024 and a business roundtable in Beijing.
For the first time, Peru was present at ITB China 2024, one of the most important tourism fairs, held from May 27 to 29. At this event, 12 Peruvian tourism companies participated in a highly competitive market, allowing them to interact directly with Chinese buyers.
The results were positive, with business potential exceeding USD 2.3 million for tour operators and more than USD 1 million for companies exhibiting their products. The Peruvian destinations promoted included Loreto, Madre de Dios, Cusco, Arequipa, Ica, Puno, and Lima, which generated considerable interest among Chinese buyers.
There was a high demand for luxury products and services, positioning Peru as an attractive destination for premium experiences in China. The fair was an ideal platform for Peruvian companies, providing them with insights into market trends and opportunities to establish key contacts.
