Exhibitors from the regions of Ancash, Ica, Lima, and Callao showcased their tourism offerings.
To promote short trips (less than six hours from Lima), the "Rutas Cortas" fair was held, featuring over 40 exhibitors. These included travel agencies, tour operators, transportation companies, producers, artisans, and public entities from the regions of Ancash, Ica, Lima, and Callao.

Destinations near Lima in the tourism showcase
The event gave the public in Lima a chance to explore tourism options less than six hours from the capital. Attendees discovered offerings from reputable tourism agencies on the Y Tú Qué Planes platform, as well as ground transportation companies, local producers, and talented artisans from the participating regions.
Among the standout options are the Palomino Islets and the Real Felipe Fortress in Callao, the Lachay National Reserve in Huaura, the Sacred City of Caral in Barranca, the Paracas National Reserve and the Huacachina Lagoon in Ica, as well as the stunning beaches of Huarmey and Casma in Ancash.

During the event, there were parades featuring traditional dances, culinary demonstrations, activities for children, artistic performances, and virtual reality experiences, all of which enriched the visitors' experience.

A boost for regional tourism
The "Rutas Cortas" fair was part of PROMPERÚ's strategy to promote local tourism by bringing regional tourism offerings closer to the people of Lima.
The fair also featured information modules from institutions including the Caral Archaeological Zone, the District Municipality of Antioquia, Proh Villa - Pantanos de Villa Wetlands, Proh Lima - Historic Center of Lima, the Regional Government of Callao, and SERNANP (Palomino Islets).

This event, organized by the Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Export and Tourism (PROMPERÚ) in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR), took place on August 24 and 25 at Parque Kennedy in Miraflores.
