Rafael Osterling

He is considered one of the greatest Peruvian chefs with national and international prestige. In 2011, he published the book "Rafael: the chef, the restaurant, and the recipes" presenting his signature cuisine and including his best 100 recipes for the past 10 years. Rafael owns four restaurants in Peru and Colombia. In Lima, we have "El Mercado", a cebiche and seafood restaurant, and "Rafael" which in 2002 was listed as one of the 20 Best Restaurants in Latin American by Gatopardo magazine and as Best Peruvian Restaurant by Travel + Leisure. In 2010 Gastronomic Guide Summum named it the Best Peruvian Restaurant. In 2015 his restaurant "Rafael" ranked second and "El Mercado" seventh on the 20 best Peruvian restaurants list at the Summum Awards. Additionally "El Mercado" won in the Fish and Seafood category. In Bogota his restaurants are "Rafael" and "La Despensa".
