Chinese businesswoman Huang Zhaohui, who in recent years has worked closely with PROMPERÚ and Peru’s Foreign Trade Office (OCEX) in Beijing on the introduction of Peruvian products in the Asian giant, received the 'Friend of Peru' ('Amigo del Perú') award from the Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur), Roger Valencia.
As a result of the joint work with Huang, in December 2017 the first Alpaca del Perú store was opened in the Wangfujing Shopping Center, the Chinese capital's most iconic shopping center and one of the most exclusive at an international level. This made alpaca clothing from renowned Peruvian brands, as well as fine pieces of jewelry, available to the Chinese consumer with high purchasing power.
In November, the businesswoman will open the Peru House store, which will represent the most outstanding export products from Peru with the greatest potential in the Chinese market. In this store, visitors will be able to buy alpaca clothing and accessories, handicrafts, jewelry, coffee, pisco and superfoods.
The store will be located in the Sanlitun district of Beijing, a shopping area that brings together major local stores and renowned international brands, frequented by a very demanding and fashion-conscious public looking for new global trends.
As such, the commercial work of Huang Zhaohui is contributing to the entry of new Peruvian products into the Asian market’s retail channel, facilitating the construction of a positive image of Peru based on high quality products in the large Chinese market.
