On April 27 and 28, 2016, along with a group of Peruvian export companies, PROMPERU participated in the Andean Business Meeting 2016, held in the city of Guayaquil, Ecuador. This event’s objective was to promote commerce between the partner countries of the Andean Community (CAN): Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru, and aimed for a better integration amongst its markets.
During the two-day meeting, several business agreements were placed, valued in over 30 million dollars, attended by more than 360 exporters and buyers from the four Andean countries. Germany attended as a guest country, and was represented by a delegation of businesspeople.
Within the business agreements, the most important ones were for food and beverage, leather and footwear, metal mechanics and textiles markets. We should also mention that this is the fifth time that the meeting takes place, thanks to the collaboration of the export promotion agencies of the region: PROMPERU, PROEXPORT, PROECUADOR and Promueve Bolivia.
The Peruvian participation is part of the programmed activities in the sub direction of PROMPERÚ (Peru Export and Tourism Promotion Agency).
