Welcome to a renewed and flexible Peru

National and foreign investors can make large profits by taking advantage of peruvian tourism opportunities. The potential of Peru is impressive. An example of this is the declaration by UNESCO of 11 national archaeological sites as World Heritage, with one of them—Machu Picchu—as one of the New Seven Wonders of the Modern World.
In 2011, a total of 2,500 thousand visitors generated foreign currency worth 3,300 million dollars in a sector with enormous growth prospects. This was achieved either through investment in the development of new local tourist attractions (e.g. in the archaeological site of Choquequirao) or the inclusion of new destinations and routes. The Amazon, the Pacific coast, as well as the valleys and mountains of the Andes, are ideal tourist destinations.
